In this series I am exploring techniques of layering paint, and then scratching though. These are techniques I use often in my encaustic work, and it’s interesting to see how they translate to acrylic media. I am also playing with subtle variation in depth and opacity within a narrow range of color.

Another nice one in your exploration of layering paint and then scratching through series......you have inspired me to do some more hands on painting! I miss it, and need some hands on painting because I have to sit in front of the computer for long hours post processing my photos. I miss the good old days when the lab printed my weddings and portraits. V
