Alberto Vargas (February 9, 1896 – December 30, 1982) was a Peruvian-born American pin-up artist. He moved to the United States in 1916 after studying art in Switzerland. In New York, he began work as an artist for the Ziegfeld Follies and many Hollywood studios. Vargas stated that he wanted his artwork to "immortalize the American girl."‘
