Description
A midsummer dream is exactly what the midnight sun brings to the far northern reaches of Norway. The Arctic parts of this stunningly beautiful country are some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever had the pleasure to visit, along with friendly people and the can-do Nordic spirit.
I can't call this necessarily sunrise or sunset, as in the summer the midnight sun means both sunrise and sunset kind of merge into one, multi-hour dramatic light show. For those willing to stay up through the night, images like this, in the fishing village of Sommarøy where a small white sand beach fronts a placid fjord, are not only possible, they'll fill up your memory card with many beautiful images.
