Description
I created Lakshmi Painting as She appears from the Ocean. This painting is in watercolor and enhanced with Golden Acrylics and Swarovski Crystals. Lakshmi (Sanskrit: लक्ष्मी) is the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity (both material and spiritual), fortune, and the embodiment of beauty. Goddess of Music, Wisdom, and Knowledge Saraswati is Playing Veena in this painting. Lotus and swans are adding to the decor and symbolism of purity and beauty.
"Saraswati is represented in Hindu mythology as the divine consort of Lord Brahma, the Creator of the universe. Since knowledge is necessary for creation, Saraswati symbolizes the creative power of Brahma. Goddess Saraswati is worshipped by all persons interested in knowledge, especially students, teachers, scholars, and scientists."
When you look at Ganesha, You may see a charming, slightly comical elephant-headed God whom you pray to first, before starting anything new. He is the remover of obstacles. There are deeper symbolic meanings of Ganesha; his large ears and head indicate that he has gained wisdom through listening and reflecting on the eternal truths of the Vedas. His head and trunk are curved into the shape of the Om, our most sacred of symbols, representing the primeval sound of creation and our most powerful mantra in prayer and meditation. The elephant's importance is also that it is a herbivore, eating vegetarian food, a calm and gentle animal with immense strength, which it uses only when needed. Lord Ganesha's large belly is said to contain the whole universe.
