I'm so appreciative for Steven's magic hour photo of one of my favorite places along Portland's waterfront. My acupuncture clinic of eleven years recently closed unexpectedly, and this walk along the waterfront was part of my visits there--an extension of the healing process.

Picture was better than expected. It looks exactly like I remembered when visited Hvar.

Gorgeous art that shows up well on the piece. The wood is substantial but not too heavy--easy to hang. Woodgrain is lightly visible through the print, which adds texture and a rustic flair.

Artist's Description
The South Rim turns to a beautiful color as the sun is setting.
The Grand Canyon (Hopi: Ongtupqa; Yavapai: Wi:kaʼi:la) is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the United States in the state of Arizona. It is contained within and managed by Grand Canyon National Park, the Hualapai Tribal Nation, and the Havasupai Tribe. It is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
The Grand Canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long, up to 18miles (29 km) wide and attains a depth of over a mile (6,000 feet or 1,800 metres). Nearly two billion years of the Earth's geological history has been exposed as the Colorado River and its tributaries cut their channels through layer after layer of rock while the Colorado Plateau was uplifted. While the specific geologic processes and timing that formed the Grand Canyon...
About Robert Bales
I am a retired teacher, coach, and athletic director. While my wife, Judy, and I were teaching she had a photo studio, and I had a dark room where I did black and white and color. We sold Last Class a few years ago and bought a small house in Yuma, Arizona and bought another one in Emmett Idaho. Now we spend the summers in Emmett and the winters in Yuma. Over our 50 years of marriage, we have always had an interest in photography and both of us enjoy taking the photos for this site. I have always used Cannon cameras and now I am using the 7D for most of the...
