Description
Clint Eastwood pop art portrait. Clint Eastwood, born in 1930, is an American actor, film director, composer, and producer. He won four Academy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, three César Awards, and an AFI Life Achievement Award.
He found his fame in "Man With No Name" hero of three violence-filled "spaghetti Westerns" by Sergio Leon, including "A Fistful of Dollars," "For a Few Dollars More," and "The Good the Bad and the Ugly" (1964-66). The films were enormously popular worldwide, catapulting Eastwood into top-ranking box-office stardom and establishing his screen image as a lanky, tight-lipped, beleaguered hero.
One film that established Eastwood as a superstar was "Dirty Harry" (1971). An exciting but controversial action picture called excessively violent, four sequels followed it in the 1970s and 1980s.
He won Oscars as Best Actor, Best Director, and Best Picture for his Western film "Unforgiven" (1992) and his sports drama "Million Dollar Baby" (2004). He had commercial success with the adventure comedy "Every Which Way but Loose" (1978) and its sequel "Any Which Way You Can" (1980).
Among his other popular films "Hang 'Em High" (1968) and "Pale Rider" (1985), "Escape from Alcatraz" (1979), "Heartbreak Ridge" (1986), "In the Line of Fire" (1993), and the romantic drama The "Bridges of Madison County" (1995).
