Description
A square format close up of the face of the Great Clock of Westminster (better known as Big Ben) in Westminster, London, one of the world's most famous clocks. Big Ben is actually the nickname of the largest bell inside the tower rather than the tower itself; the tower is officially called the Elizabeth Tower and stands next to Westminter Palace / the Houses of Parliament. The tower was designed by Augustus Pugin in the Gothic Revival style and completed in 1859. The dials of the clock are 22.5ft / 6.9m in diameter and 180ft / 54.9m above ground level at their centre.
