This was a large metal print and the details are still there. Very nice effect with indirect hall lighting. Minor bend at the right lower corner.

I love the picture but the product was bent sometime during shipping. The cardboard box shows that it was bent. It's a 36x26 metal print that now has a slight bend on the right side. I plan on purchasing another print from this artist but not a metal print. It shows alot of glare from outside and inside lights.

I recently ordered a 16" x 10.5" metal print from Fine Art America, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The print material and finishing with a hanging wire were outstanding. The image quality on the metal is stunning—sharp, vibrant, and beautifully crafted. The material feels durable and high-quality, making it a perfect display piece. It arrived exactly when promised, well-packaged to prevent any damage during shipping. Fine Art America delivered an exceptional product and a seamless experience from start to finish. I’m thrilled with my purchase and will definitely order from them again. Highly recommended for art enthusiasts and professionals alike!

Artist's Description

Pop Art print of the USAAF Enola Gay, a B29 Superfortress Bomber, from World War 2. The B29 (B-29) Superfortress Bomber was one of the most advanced USAAF bomber of World War 2. The B29 had a pressurized cabin, enabling it to reach much higher altitudes, and had remote-controlled machine-gun turrets. The B-29 Superfortress mainly saw action during World War II on the pacific Theatre. Probably the most famous B-29 Bomber constructed was the Enola Gay, which was the aircraft that dropped the first ever atomic bomb, "Little Boy", on Hiroshima in 1945. The B-29 superfortress carried on in service until the 1960s, taking part in the Korean War.

About Michael Tompsett

Michael Tompsett

Art and design has interested me since an early age. Art classes were the one lesson at school I genuinely looked forward to every week. After school and university I had the fortune to be able continue my passion in art and design, working as a senior designer at Conde Nast Publications in London. After an exhilarating 12 years I bid farewell to my job and England, moving to the south of Spain. I now dedicate myself full time to my artistic pursuits in the tranquil and idyllic surroundings of a Mediterranean coastal village. My main artistic focus is on City Skylines and Maps. Despite never having considered myself a trendsetter, I am proud to be known as the artist who started not one, but two global trends - namely abstract...
