What defines Surrealism:
It balances a rational vision of life with the power of the unconscious and dreams. Magic and strange beauty in the unexpected and the uncanny, the disregarded and the unconventional.

What defines Symbolism:
Symbolism is to convey the hidden meaning to the reader or listener. It tells us about artistic expression and represents abstract ideas.
