I've never hosted a contest like this, but.... Today is the anniversary of someone I lost. We're not alone in struggles. Often, sharing our stories of difficulty can bring soothing comfort to and unity with others. So, this contest is ONLY for those watercolor paintings that TELL A STORY.

Behind your painting, there must be:

JOURNEY OF DIFFICULTY
INSPIRATION
GRIEF
EMOTION

This may be a well-attended contest, or it may not, but I WILL BE READING EACH OF YOUR STORIES/descriptions.........and I will remove anything that does not portray and describe at least one from the list above.

Submit watercolor artwork only; created by you from paint and water on your table and a brush in your hand.

You may submit any watercolor as long as it's:
1. MUST HAVE A STORY (preferably true) BEHIND IT
2. Family friendly (no nudity, violence, politics, skulls, etc)
3. No words or written messages on the artwork unless part of subject being painted.
4. No digital painting or digitally-altered photographs. Nothing digital.
5. The use of gouache, pen and ink, acrylic or other highlights within the painting (so long as it's just a highlight) is up to my discretion.
6. No abstract/patterns. Subject must be identifiable without a doubt.

You may submit 1 image.

***I would LOVE if the voting was based on who portrayed the emotion or struggle through their painting the best! Rather than solely based on skill.***
