Homage to Classic Childrens LiteratureOr rather the excellent illustrators who made the books so famous. In the description it is useful to explain the background to your artwork; I am familiar with British children’s literature and a little from America, but I am looking forward to learning more about children’s illustrated books from around the world.
I guess we should mention “after” or suchlike on the drawings to avoid litigation from copyright holders.
Please no photographs
Please no digital creation or manipulation
Having had some unassociated submissions for my “ROBOTS” contest, I shall start to vet more stringently and apologise in advance for disallowing non-relevant submissions from the contest.
Would prefer that any illustration submitted is available as an original, directly from the artist.
The prizes can consist of your choice of my books or blank A4 folded greetings cards

The prize levels may confuse some folk, but remember that I am elderly and immersed in the British humour of the fifties and sixties, the Goons, Hancock’s Half Hour, Round the Horne etc, with a healthy smattering of the old US greats such as Jack Benny, W.C.Fields and the Marx Brothers etc.
Plus the fact that I need to clear out my brand new, stored in dry boxes for several years stock of inadvertently too many printed copies, produced before that greedy rain forest site and such-like made print-on-Demand so easy.

I have printed copies going begging of the first eight books in the series, so the three winners would have to choose from those. Obviously I would need their postal addresses. Postage will be at my expense (hoping for UK winners, fingers crossed, ha haa, skinflint!)

For book details, the rain forest site can be interrogated under my name as author; on Facebook there is a whole page called Peter Brighouse’s Louisa’s Ginger Nuts Cat Books (or something like that); and if you turn some keywords mentioned into hashtags (whatever they are) you should find stuff on Twitter.

Hoping that more artists/illustrators will consider joining our FAA group, most of the participants are much more talented than myself!

PS, if I have omitted anything, please forgive and remind me..

Oh yes, good luck to all who have read this far, especially if you decide to join in.
To end with a Bart Simpson quote: “Are we there yet?”
